We would like to take this opportunity to introduce you to the Winnipeg Indoor Mini Soccer League, which commences this upcoming October.The WIMSL offers an environment for children to improve their skills in a fun, safe, and friendly learning environment.Children can enjoy the benefits of playing on a more proportionate playing surface to their size and abilities. It should also be noted that small sided or mini soccer games benefit children by improving young soccer players both technically and tactically. Children will receive a greater success rate of getting numerous touches on the ball in a smaller space with smaller numbers along with receiving a more energetic workout. Our program promotes a greater success rate of development, which therefore allows participants to have more fun playing soccer.

As an added benefit, please note that all our league games will be played in one convenient location at the University of Manitoba’s brand new “Indoor Soccer Facility”, Our season will tentatively begin on Saturday, October 10th, 2010 and run for 24 sessions / games ending in mid April 2011. We will also be running our annual week long Soccer Clinics during the 2009 Christmas break, and during Spring Break 2010.

We are very much looking forward to the upcoming indoor season, which is quickly approaching. We are currently experiencing an overwhelming demand for our youth league, so getting your son or daughters registration form and payment in as soon as possible is the best way to guarantee your place in our league. We will be accepting registrations on a first-come-first-serve basis, as there are limited spots available for each age group.
